A barn that belonged to my friend burned down last week. Everything in the barn was lost, including a fully restored 66' Mustang. No insurance. R.I.P.

Where is this? Why no insurance?
If in the US, insurance is so cheap, no reason to not have insured.
If in Canada classic car insurance is still kind of cheap (cheaper than 'normal' insurance), no reason to not have insured. I'm sure the US has something similar making insurance even cheaper for olde cars.

Dallas, Texas. Yeah, there is no good reason to not have it insured

Hagerty is cheap! Inexcusable. They get no pity from me.

I am so sorry. But seriously, why wouldn't you insure it. After all of the work, it's just gone. :( I saw a mechanics house catch fire, and he has like three customers cars in his garage, and his personal Porsche 911 in the drive way. The Porsche was fine, but they still have to literally spray it down on the inside with foam. even though there was no damage. But the customers cars and half of his house were completely gone. It was a lamp and a curtain I think that started it.

Salute the stang an American hero has just been felled but at least she went out in a blaze of glory. Now excuse me while I cry in pity for this mans terrible loss.
